llms.txt

Hookman publishes an llms.txt file at the root of the site, following the llmstxt.org convention. It’s a short Markdown index that tells an AI assistant what Hookman is and where the useful documentation lives, so it can find the right page without crawling the whole site.

https://hookman.dev/llms.txt

What’s in it

  • A one-paragraph summary: what Hookman is, the stable endpoint format (https://hookman.dev/w/{org}/{project}), and how routing, logging, replay and retries work.
  • A plans summary, pointing to the pricing page for current limits.
  • Links, with one-line descriptions, to the getting-started guides, routing and feature pages, the CLI reference, the GitHub Action, and the reference pages for error codes, proxy headers and limits.

Using it

Point your assistant at the file when you want it to work with Hookman and it doesn’t know the product:

  • In Claude Code, ask it to read https://hookman.dev/llms.txt first, or install the Claude Code plugin, which carries the same knowledge as skills.
  • In other tools, paste the URL into the chat, or add it to the tool’s list of documentation sources if it has one.

The file is plain Markdown with absolute links, so it works equally well when you open it in a browser.

It’s maintained by hand alongside these docs. If you find a page that’s missing from it or out of date, please open an issue.
