# Hookman > Hookman is a webhook routing proxy for developers. You give Stripe, Paddle, GitHub or any other provider one stable URL, `https://hookman.dev/w/{org}/{project}`, once, and Hookman forwards each webhook to whichever branch or preview deployment is active or matches a routing rule, so you never reconfigure the provider when you switch branches. How it works: a project has a stable endpoint and a set of deployments (a label such as `main` or `pr-42` plus an https target URL). Incoming webhooks are checked against routing rules (by header, query parameter or JSON body field, first match wins) and otherwise go to the active deployment. The target's response is returned to the sender unchanged; redirects are not followed. Every webhook is logged, payloads are stored for replay, and Pro and Team plans get automatic retries. Deployments can be registered from the dashboard, the `hookman` CLI (`npm i -g @hookman/cli`), or CI. Plans: Free (1,000 webhooks/month, 1 project), Pro (50,000/month, 10 projects), Team (500,000/month, unlimited projects). See the pricing page for current limits. ## Getting started - [Introduction](https://hookman.dev/docs/getting-started/introduction/): what Hookman is and the problem it solves - [Quickstart](https://hookman.dev/docs/getting-started/quickstart/): create a project, register a deployment, point your provider at Hookman - [Concepts](https://hookman.dev/docs/getting-started/concepts/): orgs, projects, deployments, routing rules and the endpoint ## Routing and features - [Routing overview](https://hookman.dev/docs/routing/overview/): manual switching, header and payload routing, rule order, dynamic rules, publishing and rollback - [Replay](https://hookman.dev/docs/features/replay/): re-deliver a stored webhook to its target - [Retry](https://hookman.dev/docs/features/retry/): automatic retries on failure (Pro and Team) - [Fan-out](https://hookman.dev/docs/features/fanout/): copy every webhook to additional deployments - [Live tail & routing decisions](https://hookman.dev/docs/features/live-tail/): `hookman tail` and the live dashboard log, plus "why did it go there?" for each delivery ## Integrations - [CLI](https://hookman.dev/docs/integrations/cli/): every `hookman` command, flag and environment variable (register, switch, rule, logs, tail, listen, inbox) - [GitHub Action](https://hookman.dev/docs/integrations/github-action/): register and remove preview deployments automatically from CI ## AI and agents - [Claude Code plugin](https://hookman.dev/docs/ai/claude-code-plugin/): skills that run the Hookman CLI for setup, routing, debugging and testing - [llms.txt](https://hookman.dev/docs/ai/llms-txt/): about this file ## Reference - [Error codes](https://hookman.dev/docs/reference/errors/): proxy and management API errors and how to fix them - [Proxy headers](https://hookman.dev/docs/reference/proxy-headers/): the `x-hookman-*` headers added to forwarded requests, including delivery IDs for de-duplication - [Limits](https://hookman.dev/docs/reference/limits/): plan quotas, retention and request limits ## Optional - [Pricing](https://hookman.dev/pricing/): plans and overage - [Blog](https://hookman.dev/blog/): product posts and announcements - [Changelog](https://hookman.dev/changelog/): what shipped, day by day - [Dashboard](https://app.hookman.dev): manage projects, deployments, rules and logs - [Plugin source](https://github.com/royletron/hookman/tree/main/packages/claude-plugin): the Claude Code plugin's skills (`claude plugin marketplace add royletron/hookman`)
